The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) is the most prestigious and popular academic competition in Ghana. It showcases the brilliance and talents of senior high school students in science and mathematics. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the NSMQ, and the grand finale promises to be a thrilling and historic event.

 

 The three schools that have qualified for the final are Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Legon (PRESEC), Opoku Ware School (OWASS), and Achimota School (MOTOWN). These are some of the most successful and renowned schools in the history of the NSMQ, with a combined total of 11 trophies.

PRESEC is the record holder with seven trophies, and they are hungry for an eighth one. They have been dominant and consistent throughout the competition, winning all their contests with impressive margins. They have also displayed a remarkable depth of knowledge and speed of recall, answering many bonus questions correctly. PRESEC is widely regarded as the favorite to win the 2023 NSMQ.
